About Heather Bradley

At Bristol Trauma Therapy, I, Heather Bradley, offer a safe, compassionate, and empowering space for individuals healing from trauma. With over a decade of experience, I specialise in supporting adults affected by anxiety, complex PTSD (C-PTSD), dissociation, and sexual trauma—including those who have experienced childhood sexual abuse.

My journey into therapy didn’t begin in a classroom—it started with my own healing. I was once in the very place many of my clients find themselves now: overwhelmed by the effects of trauma and unsure whether recovery was even possible. Through a combination of evidence-based therapies, I overcame deep struggles including depression, anxiety, self-harm, flashbacks, dissociation, vaginismus, and relationship issues. Today, I live a life filled with joy, safety, intimacy, and self-belief—and I am passionate about helping others achieve the same.

I believe that healing is possible for everyone. If I could find my voice, reclaim my power, and rebuild my life, so can you.

Services

Trauma-Focused Therapy

I provide specialist therapy for individuals struggling with the long-term effects of trauma. Whether it stems from childhood sexual abuse, adult sexual violence, or other traumatic experiences, our work together will focus on building safety, reconnecting with the body, and moving from surviving to thriving.

C-PTSD & Dissociation

Complex PTSD often brings layers of dissociation, emotional dysregulation, and identity confusion. In our sessions, we explore these experiences with sensitivity and structure. We will work together to restore stability, reduce symptoms, and strengthen your sense of self.

Recovery from Sexual Trauma

Sexual trauma can deeply impact one’s relationship with intimacy, trust, and self-worth. Having walked this path myself, I understand how isolating and painful it can be. I offer a nurturing space to process trauma, rebuild self-esteem, and reclaim healthy intimacy.

Anxiety & Panic

Trauma often leads to ongoing anxiety and panic attacks. I use grounding techniques and therapeutic approaches that gently target the nervous system, helping you regain control and calm in daily life.

Additional Information

  • Qualifications: I have trained extensively in the same therapies that supported my own recovery, ensuring I bring both professional expertise and lived empathy to our sessions.

  • Personal Video Story: For those who feel safe to do so, I invite you to watch a video where I share my personal experience of trauma and healing. Trigger warning: The video includes references to sexual abuse, gang rape, and self-harm.

At Bristol Trauma Therapy, healing is not just possible—it’s powerful. You don’t have to live in the shadows of your past. Let’s walk this path together and create a future grounded in joy, freedom, and love. You are not alone, and you are not broken. You are becoming.
