Caitlin Shepherd returns from maternity leave in May 2025 and brings with her a wealth of experience, a warm approach, and a strong connection to both country and city communities. Originally from the rural town of Lucindale in South Australia’s South East, Caitlin has been a part of our team since 2021 and holds over seven years of professional experience in a wide range of physiotherapy settings.
After completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia in 2013, Caitlin began her career in the regional hub of Naracoorte. There, she gained valuable experience working across multiple areas including hospital physiotherapy, aged care, maternity, paediatrics, and sports rehabilitation. For three and a half years, she supported patients of all ages and conditions, developing a strong foundation in holistic care.
In pursuit of further professional growth, Caitlin moved to Melbourne where she worked for over three years in a bustling private musculoskeletal practice in the city’s western suburbs. During this time, she deepened her expertise through advanced training in women’s health and continence, as well as targeted treatment approaches for the shoulder, lower back, and hips. She also developed clinical skills in vestibular physiotherapy (for vertigo and balance) and Pilates-based rehabilitation.
Caitlin’s diverse background and broad clinical scope make her a highly adaptable and knowledgeable clinician, capable of treating a wide variety of conditions. Her warm and empathetic nature, combined with a thorough understanding of patient needs, make her a trusted physiotherapist for individuals across all age groups.
Caitlin offers a comprehensive suite of physiotherapy services, with particular strengths in:
