About Us

Cancer SA (formerly GVI Oncology) was established in 1989 by Dr Leon Gouws. The centre, which has grown to include nine locations across the Western and Eastern Cape, is now the largest private oncology practice in the country. We treat more than 2,500 new patients annually and have 160 staff members including 25 specialist oncologists.
