Caring Rheum, led by Dr Farzana Moosajee, offers top-tier rheumatology care in Foreshore, Cape Town. As a qualified Rheumatology Consultant and Specialist Physician, Dr Moosajee has expertise in managing various rheumatological and internal medical conditions. She delivers personalised care tailored to the needs of each patient.

Dr Moosajee graduated with honours from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2005. During her studies, she earned top medals in Medical Physiology and Virology. After completing her internship at Helen Joseph and Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospitals, she returned to Cape Town for her community service with the South African Military Health Services.

Her passion for internal medicine and rheumatology grew while working at Groote Schuur Hospital. In 2010, she joined the medical registrar rotation at UCT and later completed the Fellowship of the College of Physicians in 2014. Dr Moosajee earned her Certificate in Rheumatology in 2016.

Currently, Dr Moosajee serves as a consultant rheumatologist at Tygerberg Academic Hospital. She also maintains strong ties with Khayelitsha District Hospital through outreach initiatives. In addition, she is pursuing a Master’s in Philosophy in Health Professionals Education (MPhil HPE) at Stellenbosch University.
