Carla Brown – Supporting Children Through Expert Orthotic Care

About Carla

Carla Brown is a highly dedicated orthotist with over a decade of experience. After graduating from La Trobe University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics, she moved to Queensland to begin her professional career. She worked at a private clinic where she treated a wide variety of patients.

During this time, Carla discovered a passion for helping children. In particular, she focused on orthotic care for young clients with neurological conditions. This led to her specialisation in managing conditions like cerebral palsy and similar disorders. She has been committed to this work ever since.

Services

Carla’s main area of expertise is paediatric orthotics. She works closely with children and families to provide custom-made orthotic devices. These are carefully designed to support each child’s unique needs and improve everyday function.

Paediatric Orthotics

Carla helps children with various neurological conditions, including cerebral palsy and spina bifida. She takes a caring and thoughtful approach to every case. By using the latest methods and working with other health professionals, she ensures children receive the best possible care.

Improving Function and Movement

One of Carla’s goals is to improve her clients’ ability to move and take part in daily life. She designs orthoses that assist with walking, balance, and posture. Even small changes in these areas can lead to big improvements in a child’s confidence and independence.

Additional Information

Carla values teamwork and often works alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and paediatricians. By doing so, she helps create clear care plans that focus on the whole child. She also believes in involving families in every step of the journey.

In addition to her clinical work, Carla stays up to date with new technology and treatment methods. She is always eager to learn and improve her practice. This means the children she sees benefit from both her experience and her commitment to learning.

Carla is known for her kind nature, careful attention to detail, and strong belief in client-centred care. Families trust her because she listens, explains things clearly, and puts the needs of the child first. Through her work, she continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of many young people.
