Carla Geustyn Educational Psychologist Alberton provides bilingual psychological support for children and adolescents facing academic, social, and emotional challenges. Carla is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). She holds a B.Ed. in Education, a B.Ed. Honours in Psychology, and an M.Ed. in Psychology from the University of Johannesburg.
If your child struggles with academic performance, social issues, or emotional challenges, Carla provides support through assessment and therapy. She works with children from age 6 and adolescents. She helps them manage test-taking stress, poor time management, and behavioural problems. In addition, Carla provides assessments and therapeutic interventions to improve functioning and well-being.
Carla provides psychological assessments for IEB, SACAI, IMPAQ, and GDE accommodations. These may include extra time, a reader, or a scribe. She also evaluates developmental abilities and current levels of functioning. Furthermore, she identifies problematic behaviours and areas that need support.
Carla also provides strength-based recommendations to support treatment plans. As a result, her assessment process looks at both the challenges and strengths of each client.
