Cindy Strydom, an HPCSA registered Clinical Psychologist, dedicates herself to helping people overcome life’s challenges and achieve personal growth. Intrigued by human journeys and the remarkable resilience people show in difficult times, she began her path in this field at a young age.
Cindy finds joy in celebrating even the smallest victories alongside her clients and believes that each individual possesses the strength to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Through therapy, she is committed to providing the knowledge and tools necessary for sustainable positive change, fostering a safe and supportive environment where clients feel understood and at ease.

- Individual therapy for adults, primarily utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with additional techniques incorporated to best suit client needs.
- Experience treating a wide range of issues including:
- anxiety disorders
- depression
- bipolar disorder
- personality disorders
- chronic pain, grief
- parent-child difficulties
Additional Information
- Masters Degree in Psychology (North West University, Potchefstroom)
- Over 300 hours of additional training in CBT.
- Accredited training in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) from The Albert Ellis Institute, New York City.
- Extensive experience working with diverse clients and within various settings, gained through internship, work within the military system, private practice since 2012, and founding Rivonia Therapy Centre (2017-2022).
- Regular attendance at courses to stay up-to-date on CBT advancements.
- Frequent media appearances as a mental health expert.
- Provides accredited training courses and supervision to other mental health professionals in CBT (since 2016).
- Member of professional CBT associations: The Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Association of South Africa (CBTASA), The National Association of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapists (NACBT), and The Academy of Cognitive & Behavioural Therapies.
