With over 14 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to supporting children and families through play therapy. My expertise extends across pre-primary and primary schools, as well as private practice, where I provide therapeutic services tailored to the unique needs of each child.
As a certified Play Therapist and qualified (non-practising) Psychometrist, I have seen first-hand the power of play therapy in helping children express their emotions, process challenges, and develop essential coping skills. Children respond naturally to play, making it an effective and non-intimidating approach to therapy.
Beyond my professional experience, I am also a mother. This role has deepened my understanding of the joys and difficulties of parenting and the ever-evolving challenges that children face. My work is driven by the belief that each child is unique, and their environment, experiences, and emotions must be considered to help them reach their full potential.
My academic and professional background includes:
B. Soc. Sci (Psychology) – University of Pretoria
B.Ed Honours (Educational Psychology) – University of Pretoria
M.Diac (Play Therapy) – University of South Africa (UNISA)
Postgraduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play – APAC / PTI
Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy – APAC / PTI
Additionally, I am committed to continuous learning and development, ensuring that my therapeutic methods remain current and effective.
