Dr Seedat earned his BSc degree from the University of Durban-Westville in 1976. He majored in Microbiology and Physiology. He then completed his Master’s in Orthodontics (MChD Ortho) at the University of the Witwatersrand in 1984.

He also holds registration with the British Dental Association, South African Dental Association, and South African Society of Orthodontics. In addition, he completed certification in investment analysis through the University of South Africa.

Dr Seedat has also taken part in research and lecturing at the University of Pretoria and MEDUNSA. Furthermore, he speaks at conferences and takes part in academic webinars and studies. This helps him keep up with new developments in orthodontic care.
