Dr Amenah Shaikh and her dedicated team provide top-quality orthodontic care at practices in Rondebosch East and Strand. They create personalised treatment plans for each patient. As a result, patients receive care that supports healthy and beautiful smiles.

Dr Shaikh has always felt passionate about healthcare and education. She grew up in a small town and followed her dream of becoming a medical professional. Although she faced challenges, she completed her dental degree with distinction. She then specialised in Oral Medicine and Periodontics before choosing orthodontics. In 2000, she completed her specialist orthodontic training.

Today, Dr Shaikh combines academic work with private practice. She serves as an Associate Professor and Senior Consultant in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of the Western Cape. She remains committed to education and research. At the same time, she provides expert orthodontic care at her private practices. She also became the first woman of colour to qualify as a specialist orthodontist in South Africa.
