Dr. Cowen’s Qualifications and Experience

Dr. Cowen graduated from the University of Southampton in July 2018 with a first-class honours degree in podiatry. His career began in private practice in Salisbury, where he quickly gained experience working with a variety of patients. In 2019, he transitioned into his first role as a musculoskeletal (MSK) specialist in Ringwood, serving the Dorset/Hampshire border. Since then, his expertise in MSK podiatry has made him a trusted figure in the field.

In addition to his formal training, Dr. Cowen’s background in ski boot fitting and running specialization in New Zealand, Australia, France, and the UK has further deepened his understanding of human movement. This diverse experience has fueled his ongoing passion for podiatry and his commitment to helping people of all activity levels stay mobile.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Cowen enjoys an active and adventurous lifestyle. You’ll often find him outdoors, engaging in activities such as climbing, running, cycling, snowboarding, and hiking. He’s also begun exploring the Southwest Coastal Path, with 52 days of stunning walking ahead. His love for the outdoors and physical activity keeps him connected to the very movement and health he aims to restore in his patients.
