Dr. Esther Rockson is a skilled female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in Johannesburg. She consults on various gynaecological issues and manages pregnancy and childbirth at Busamed Modderfontein Hospital in Linbro Park and Life Carstenhof in Midrand. Dr. Rockson is internationally trained in Aesthetic Gynaecology and offers a wide range of treatments and procedures. Her vibrant, friendly, and professional approach helps her connect with patients. As a mother and wife, she understands the importance of building rapport with her patients.

Dr. Rockson obtained her undergraduate degree from Walter Sisulu University in 2008 and completed her internship at the Addington-Mahatma Gandhi Hospital complex in Durban. She performed her community service in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Tambo Memorial Hospital in Johannesburg. Dr. Rockson completed her four-year specialisation and became a fellow of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2016. This involved training at various hospitals, including Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital. She also obtained a Master’s degree at the University of the Witwatersrand and remains involved in examining final-year medical students.

In 2017, she earned a diploma in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Gynaecology from the European Society for Aesthetic Medicine in Warsaw, Poland. Dr. Rockson holds the following qualifications: MBChB (WSU), MMed (Wits), FCOG (SA).

• Sister Nhlanhla Lengana: Sister Nhlanhla is a professional nurse and midwife trained at Chris Hani Baragwanath Nursing College. She has extensive experience, having worked at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital and Sunninghill Hospital, where she became the maternity unit manager. Sister Nhlanhla now works privately as a midwife and directs a mother-baby clinic, Ikhaya le Mbeleko. She offers antenatal classes, antenatal care, home births, breastfeeding support, postpartum care, and baby wellness.

• Mpho Tlhowe: Mpho is the friendly face at Dr. Rockson’s Busamed practice, handling bookings and accounts while answering questions about medical aid and birth bookings.

• Fumani Khoza: Fumani is the welcoming face at Dr. Rockson’s Carstenhof practice. She assists with bookings and accounts and answers many questions about medical aid and birth bookings.
