Dr Ian Grundlingh Prosthodontist Newlands is an experienced prosthodontist based in Newlands, Cape Town. He completed his undergraduate dental qualification at the University of Stellenbosch in 2002. He then completed further qualifications, including a Master’s Degree from WITS University and an Aesthetic Diploma from the University of Pretoria.

Dr Grundlingh takes an active role in the dental field. He has published articles in respected peer-reviewed journals, including the South African Dental Journal and the Journal of International Dentistry. In 2007, he received the Charles Valcke Award for the best poster presentation at the International Association of Dental Research (IADR).

He completed his compulsory community service in 2003. After that, he worked in private dentistry for more than five years. He then took a registrar post at the University of the Western Cape in Prosthodontics, where he graduated Cum Laude. Today, Dr Grundlingh works in private practice. He also remains involved with the University of the Western Cape on a part-time basis.
