I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). With a rich background in clinical psychology, I am trained to work with a diverse range of individuals across the lifespan. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, families, adults, older adults, and people with learning disabilities.
In my private practice, I focus on adults aged 18 and above and also provide Expert Witness services. My professional journey has allowed me to address a variety of psychological difficulties that many of us face in life. I am passionate about helping individuals manage challenges such as anxiety, low mood, depression, bereavement, phobias (e.g., fear of flying), and low self-esteem.
My goal is to support clients in understanding their difficulties and finding effective solutions to take control of their past, present, and future. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I work alongside my clients to create meaningful, long-lasting changes that improve their overall well-being.
I offer tailored psychological services for individuals facing a wide variety of emotional and psychological challenges. In addition to providing therapeutic support, I also offer clinical supervision to other professionals in the field.
In my practice, I work with clients experiencing:
Anxiety
Low Mood and Depression
Bereavement and Loss
Specific Phobias (e.g., fear of flying, heights, etc.)
Low Self-Esteem
Struggling to Cope with Life Challenges
I take an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I tailor my methods to suit the needs of each individual. The goal is not just to alleviate symptoms but to help clients gain a deeper understanding of their experiences, empowering them to manage their emotions and make positive changes.
I also have a particular interest in supporting people who are living with health problems, whether short-term or long-term diagnoses. Some examples of conditions I work with include:
Diabetes
Cancer
Recovery after Injury or Illness
Hearing Loss
Living with a chronic illness or recovering from a significant health event can bring unique emotional and psychological challenges. I work with clients to address the mental and emotional aspects of managing these conditions, providing them with the tools to cope and live fulfilling lives.
I also provide therapy to those who are caring for individuals with health conditions. Caring for a loved one can be physically and emotionally demanding, and my aim is to provide guidance and support to ensure that carers can manage their roles in a healthy, sustainable way.
As part of my clinical expertise, I offer Expert Witness services for legal cases. This can involve providing psychological assessments, reports, and expert testimony related to cases involving mental health, personal injury, and more.
In addition to providing therapy, I also offer clinical supervision for psychological therapists. I have completed a British Psychological Society approved supervision training course and have extensive experience in this area. If you are a therapist seeking supervision or guidance, please get in touch to discuss your needs and how I can support your professional development.
Approach to Therapy
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and client-centred, ensuring that each individual’s unique experiences and needs are at the heart of the treatment process. I believe in empowering clients to take an active role in their therapy, helping them to find practical, sustainable ways to manage and overcome their psychological difficulties.
Whether you are dealing with life stressors, health challenges, or personal difficulties, I am here to support you on your journey to emotional well-being and self-empowerment.
