Dr. Lesego Ndhlovu is an experienced Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Specialist Paediatrician based in Mowbray. Originally from Johannesburg, Dr. Ndhlovu completed her medical degree at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in 2012. After finishing her internship and community service in Mahikeng and Tzaneen, she furthered her training in paediatrics through Wits and became a qualified paediatrician in 2019. She later obtained her master’s in medicine (paediatrics) in 2020. Following her passion for paediatric gastroenterology, Dr. Ndhlovu sub-specialised in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the University of Cape Town (UCT), qualifying as a paediatric gastroenterologist in 2022.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Ndhlovu is a senior lecturer at Stellenbosch University and a part-time consultant at Tygerberg Hospital’s Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Department. She is also passionate about improving child nutrition and fighting against childhood malnutrition. As a co-founder of Marotholi Outreach, she works tirelessly to help vulnerable communities prevent childhood malnutrition.
