Dr. Marelize Swart is a Registered Psychologist and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (Diplomate) with over 20 years of international experience in individual, couples, and sex therapy. She earned her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Stellenbosch University and her Doctoral Degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Calgary, Canada. After living in North America for more than two decades, she has recently returned to Cape Town, South Africa, where she practices in Claremont and Somerset West. Her expertise in reproductive health psychology allows her to provide holistic support to individuals and couples facing complex fertility and sexual health challenges.

Throughout her career, Dr. Swart has been featured as a sexology expert in various magazines and newspapers across Canada and South Africa. Moreover, she served as the resident sexology expert for South Africa’s Health24’s Forum for four years and was the sexologist for DRUM magazine, one of South Africa’s largest consumer publications. Additionally, she has taught as a sessional instructor to both medical students and master’s degree students in psychology and sex therapy.
