Dr. Matthew Keating’s path to becoming one of Australia’s leading podiatrists began with a childhood obsession—shoes. According to his parents, he spent hours in shoe shops admiring the latest soccer boots and basketball shoes. This interest in footwear laid the groundwork for a career focused on helping people move without pain.
Although his journey wasn’t typical, it was fuelled by curiosity and a strong desire to improve lives. After completing his podiatry qualifications, Matthew, along with his wife Stacey, managed a successful group of podiatry clinics. They didn’t stop there. They took on the ambitious task of running their own orthotic manufacturing facility, where Matthew refined his skills in custom orthotic design.
This hands-on experience inspired the development of Lifesoles—an innovative orthotic solution designed to address everyday foot and leg discomfort. Lifesoles blends clinical precision with practical comfort, offering people relief from pain without the need for complex interventions.
Dr. Keating now focuses his time on product development, education, and design consultation. While he may no longer treat patients directly, his clinical influence remains strong across several areas:
Innovative Orthotic Design
Matthew creates orthotics that blend biomechanical support with user comfort. His designs reflect a deep understanding of both form and function.
Footwear and Biomechanics
With a strong foundation in footwear mechanics, Matthew offers guidance on how shoes can enhance mobility and reduce pain. His insights inform both product lines and clinical recommendations.
Clinical Support and Leadership
Through his clinics, he helped train practitioners and refine treatment models. He continues to guide the next generation of podiatrists through his leadership and mentorship.
Lifesoles represents Matthew’s mission to provide effective relief for foot and leg pain without the need for complex medical treatments. The insoles cater to a wide range of needs—from general fatigue to more severe conditions like heel pain or arch issues. Each product reflects his belief that comfort, quality, and accessibility should go hand-in-hand.
Today, Dr. Matthew Keating remains dedicated to improving mobility through thoughtful design and clinical insight. Whether he’s refining a Lifesoles prototype or advising on orthotic performance, his work continues to support better movement, every step of the way.
