Dr Merran Llewellyn GP Norwich: Patient Appointments and Medical Training

Dr Merran Llewellyn GP Norwich leads a trusted, inclusive practice focused on delivering excellent care while training future doctors. Therefore, we proudly host GP Registrars and Foundation Year 2 doctors (F2s). These doctors work under supervision and contribute meaningfully to patient care. Moreover, they enhance appointment access and support continuity.

Clinical Education at Dr Merran Llewellyn GP Norwich

A GP Registrar is a fully qualified doctor completing specialist training in general practice. Typically, they spend two years in hospital before starting their GP placement. Consequently, they arrive with strong clinical skills and experience. Registrars stay for up to one year. Furthermore, they receive daily supervision and feedback from senior GPs.

Similarly, F2 doctors are completing their second year of postgraduate training. Although licensed, they have not yet chosen a specialty. For this reason, they rotate through general practice for four months. Additionally, we supervise them closely to ensure patient safety and effective care.
