Dr Nadia de Villiers’ journey in healthcare began with volunteering at paediatric clinics during her university years. She began her medical career in 2007, working with the South African Military Health Service, before focusing exclusively on paediatrics in various settings, including ICU, high-care, inpatient, and outpatient care.
Her personal experience as a mother of a premature child has further enriched her understanding of paediatric care. Dr de Villiers joined the Allergy Department at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and the UCT Lung Institute’s Allergy and Immunology Research Unit in 2014, where she gained invaluable experience in managing both paediatric and adult allergic conditions.
In 2016, Dr de Villiers completed her Diploma in Allergology and a Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Nutrition from Boston University School of Medicine. She is a proud member of the Allergy Foundation of South Africa and the Allergy Society of South Africa.
Dr Nadia de Villiers is committed to providing a safe, compassionate environment where parents and children feel supported. Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time with her son, who has been a source of inspiration throughout her career. Dr de Villiers is passionate about providing outstanding care and offering families a place to ask questions and receive the best treatment for their child’s health.
