Our practice is committed to same-day access for emergencies to provide peace of mind. We prioritise critical cases and work into the evening if necessary to ensure every child receives the care they need.

General Paediatric Services

  • General medical and developmental check-ups

  • Fully comprehensive immunisation clinic
  • Early detection eye screening (newly available in South Africa)

Newborn Advice
We support new parents through the exciting and challenging first weeks of your baby’s life. Helpful tips, breastfeeding support, and access to our breastfeeding and lactation consultant are available to ensure a smooth transition into parenthood.

Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy for children with low muscle tone, motor development delays, or other physical challenges. We aim to help children build strength, coordination, and confidence.

Occupational Therapy
We address sensory processing difficulties, supporting children who may be ‘fussy,’ ‘difficult,’ or overly sensitive to sensory input such as touch.

Dietician Services
Nutritional advice tailored to your child’s developmental stage:

  • Guidance on introducing complementary feeding (between 17–26 weeks of age)
  • Strategies to ensure healthy growth and development

When to Call Us

Trust your instincts as a parent—if something feels wrong, don’t hesitate to contact us. However, please seek immediate assistance or contact the Emergency Room for:

  • Fever:
    • In babies under 2–3 months old
    • Lasting longer than 3 days or accompanied by concerning symptoms (rash, abnormal breathing, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhoea with blood)
    • Recent travel to a malaria area
  • Coughing: Lasting more than a week
  • Earache
  • Weight Loss

For emergencies outside office hours, the Morningside Clinic Emergency Room is available 24/7, with direct access to the paediatrician on call.

Additional Information

  • Appointments: Standard, non-urgent check-ups are staggered and should be booked well in advance.
  • Punctuality: While we aim to run on time, unpredictable emergencies may cause delays. Please call ahead to confirm schedules.
