Dr Piotr Lech Cardiologist Wilmslow is a highly trained consultant with a deep passion for cardiac imaging and intervention. From early in his career, he pursued acute cardiology and ischaemic heart disease, sharpening his clinical and diagnostic skills in high-pressure environments. He currently serves in a joint role at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital.
After moving to the UK in 2015, Dr Lech expanded his focus to include advanced cardiac imaging. He now specializes in cardiac MRI, stress scans, contrast and stress echocardiography, and cardiac CT. His practice increasingly revolves around non-invasive heart imaging, allowing for earlier, safer diagnoses. Because of his dual hospital appointments, he plays a critical role in developing and advancing imaging services across both institutions.
His training began in Poland at a leading interventional cardiology unit. During this time, he handled numerous coronary interventions and managed acute coronary syndromes. Additionally, he treated complications such as cardiogenic shock and acute heart failure with precision. Yet, as his interest grew in imaging, he gradually transitioned from interventions to non-invasive diagnostics.
Today, Dr Piotr Lech Cardiologist Wilmslow holds prestigious accreditations from both the European Association for Cardiovascular Imaging and the British Society for Cardiac CT. These affirm his high level of expertise and dedication to staying at the forefront of cardiology. His day-to-day work now primarily involves cardiac MRI and CT, where he interprets complex cases and guides treatment planning.
Moreover, Dr Lech continually improves patient outcomes by integrating imaging with clinical decision-making. Since imaging makes up most of his weekly duties, he remains deeply committed to innovation and precision in every scan.
