Dr. Salukazana hails from Mount Fletcher in the Eastern Cape. He earned his medical degree (MBChB) from Walter Sisulu University in 2007. Following his graduation, he worked in the Department of Urology at Port Elizabeth Provincial Hospital. He then pursued specialist training in urology at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and Groote Schuur Hospital. In 2019, he became a Fellow of the College of Urologists of South Africa. He obtained his Master’s degree with distinction from UCT in 2020. Additionally, he earned a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Strasbourg in France.​

Passionate about minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Salukazana led the rollout of the robotic surgery program at Groote Schuur Hospital in 2021. As a certified robotic surgeon, he performs robot-assisted prostatectomies using the Da Vinci X system at Kingsbury Hospital. Before joining Cape Urology full-time in 2024, he served as a consultant urologist at Groote Schuur Hospital and as a senior lecturer in UCT’s Division of Urology. Moreover, he is a member of the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Board.​
