Dr SM (Mathabo) Mofokeng – Ophthalmologist – Arcadia practices at the Pretoria Eye Institute. She earned her MBChB, completed her MMed (Ophth), and obtained her FC (Ophth) SA from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa, cementing her expertise in eye surgery . Subsequently, she completed her specialist training in Ophthalmology at the University of the Witwatersrand, receiving her Fellowship in Ophthalmology from the Colleges of Medicine and Surgery of South Africa.
Dr Mofokeng began her professional journey in 2011 as a medical officer at St John’s Eye Hospital alongside Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, where she honed her clinical skills and gained invaluable experience in managing complex ocular cases. Thereafter, she served as a consultant ophthalmologist at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, focusing on retina and glaucoma care.
