Meet Dr Thabo Dingiswayo

Dr Gift Thabo Dingiswayo grew up in the Westrand near Johannesburg and completed his medical degree at the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine, University of KwaZulu-Natal, in 2009. His passion for obstetrics and gynaecology developed during his internship. He began his postgraduate specialization in 2014 at the University of the Witwatersrand, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. He earned his Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and researched recurrent miscarriages.

Dr Dingiswayo moved to Cape Town in 2016 and completed his training at Groote Schuur Hospital, University of Cape Town. He received his Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA) in 2017. He advocates for natural birth when medically safe, empowering women while respecting their reproductive rights.
