Dr Uti Schirmer, a highly skilled and experienced orthodontist, provides expert orthodontic care in Paarl and Worcester. Born in Paarl and raised in Rawsonville, he developed a passion for orthodontics early in his career. He earned his BSc and BSc (Hons) in Human Physiology at the University of Stellenbosch before completing his dental degree (BChD) with distinction at the same institution.

After completing his military service, where he served as the last SADF dentist in Windhoek before Namibia’s independence, Dr Schirmer joined the Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA) as a lecturer in orthodontics. He then pursued his specialist training at the University of Pretoria, graduating as an orthodontist in 1996.

Dr Schirmer gained international experience working in private practice in Ingolstadt, Germany, before returning to South Africa in 1999. He joined Dr Vernon Els in Paarl and later opened a satellite practice in Worcester.
