Dr. Werner Botha is a distinguished Urologist based in Pinelands, Cape Town. Born in Cape Town, he completed his MBChB at the University of Stellenbosch in 1991. His early medical training included experience in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and General Surgery. He specialized in Urology at Groote Schuur Hospital and the University of Cape Town, obtaining his Fellowship in Urology (FCS Urol) in 2000.

Dr. Botha received the Phillip Smith Prize for Best Postgraduate Student in Urology from the University of Cape Town in 2000. He continues to contribute to the field as a part-time consultant at Groote Schuur Hospital and remains an active member of the South African Urological Association.

With expertise in general urology, he has a special focus on Brachytherapy for Prostate Cancer and Laser Treatment for Stones and Prostate Enlargement. In 2006, he performed the first Revolix Laser Prostatectomy in South Africa and has since completed over 500 of these procedures.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Botha enjoys an active lifestyle. He is married with two sons and is passionate about mountain biking and kite surfing.
