Dr Wilma Kruger-Steyn Psychiatrist Durbanville welcomes you to a dedicated mental health practice in Cape Town. Here, we focus on care that fits your needs. We support both adolescents and adults. In addition, we create a safe and calm space where you can feel at ease. You can speak openly and feel heard. As a result, you gain support and strength to improve your mental health.
Dr Wilma earned her medical degree from Stellenbosch University in 2000. She then completed her internship and community service at Potchefstroom Hospital. After that, she worked as a general practitioner in Canada, in The Pas, Manitoba, for two years. During this time, she lived abroad with her family.
When she returned to South Africa, she worked in both private and public sectors. She gained experience in endocrinology as well as female and breast health. Later, she chose to specialise in psychiatry at Stellenbosch University. Today, she brings both strong medical knowledge and real-life experience into her work. Because of this, she understands her patients on a deeper level.
At Dr Wilma Kruger-Steyn Psychiatrist Durbanville, we focus on the whole person. We believe you are more than a diagnosis. First, we listen and learn about your situation. Then, we build a clear and simple care plan together.
We guide you step by step. We also track your progress and adjust your plan when needed. In addition, we offer caring support and practical help. Whether you face anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or grief, we adapt our care to suit you.
We support a range of common mental health conditions.
