About
Dr Winile Makhaye is a skilled Otolaryngologist practising at Melomed Mitchells Plain. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine in 2008, followed by an internship at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital. In 2011, she served as a Junior Medical Officer at Themba Hospital in Mpumalanga, where she completed additional courses in Basic Surgical Skills and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
Dr Makhaye went on to specialise in ENT, working as an ENT Registrar at King Edward VIII Hospital in 2012. She completed her Fellowship in Otolaryngology (FCORL) in 2018 at the College of Medicine of South Africa. Afterward, she worked as a Grade 2 Medical Officer in the ENT Department at Addington Hospital, where she also served as a consultant.
