Based in the heart of Edinburgh and the West End of Glasgow, I offer psychotherapy services designed to help individuals better understand themselves and their lives. I specialise in exploring the deeper meaning behind the symptoms you may be experiencing, helping you make sense of them in the context of your relationships, personal history, and emotional wellbeing.
Psychotherapy is not just about alleviating symptoms—it’s about understanding the person who is experiencing those symptoms. By examining the causes and underlying meanings behind them, we can uncover the root of the distress and work together to find a more holistic resolution. The goal is to help you become more fully alive and at ease with who you truly are.
I offer a safe and empathetic space where we can explore the complex emotions and challenges you are facing, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling life.
Psychotherapy sessions are tailored to meet your unique needs, focusing on the underlying issues causing your distress. We explore the impact of relationships, past experiences, and personal beliefs on your emotional wellbeing. By examining these factors in depth, you can begin to understand how they shape your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
I have experience in helping clients with a variety of concerns, including but not limited to:
Loss and Bereavement: Exploring the emotional impact of loss, grief, and mourning.
Adoption Issues: Addressing the complex feelings and identity questions that can arise in adoption scenarios.
Sexuality and Sexual Orientation: Creating a supportive space to explore identity, relationships, and personal expression.
Gender Issues: Navigating the complexities of gender identity and societal expectations.
The therapeutic process is collaborative, empowering you to reclaim parts of yourself that may have been suppressed or overlooked. This allows for greater self-understanding and emotional freedom.
As a registered UKCP Clinical Supervisor, I offer professional supervision for other therapists. My supervisory approach helps clinicians reflect on their practice, gain insights into challenging cases, and develop their therapeutic skills. The supervisory relationship is crucial for personal and professional growth in the field of psychotherapy.
Location: I offer psychotherapy sessions in both Edinburgh and Glasgow. In Edinburgh, my practice is centrally located, while in Glasgow, I am based in the West End.
Session Details: Each session lasts for one hour. The fee for each session is £60.
Introductory Session: The initial session is an opportunity for us to meet and discuss your goals for therapy. After six sessions, we will have a review to assess progress and determine whether continued therapy is appropriate.
Psychotherapy is a transformative journey that requires a commitment to self-discovery and growth. I am here to guide you through that process, helping you navigate your challenges and uncover your true potential.
If you’re ready to take the next step towards understanding yourself more deeply and improving your mental wellbeing, please feel free to get in touch. Together, we can begin the journey of self-exploration and healing.
