Educational Psychologist Rondebosch Megan Naude offers professional support to children, adolescents, and families through personalised psychological and educational care.
Megan Naude has over 10 years of experience in both public and private school settings. In addition, she worked as a school-based psychologist at the Western Cape Department of Education. There, she supported learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Now, she runs her private practice full-time at Willowmead Medical Centre in Rondebosch.
Megan holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Psychology from the University of Pretoria. She also completed a Bachelor of Education Honours in Educational Psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education. Furthermore, she is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (PS 0138908) and the Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa (0775789).
Because of her strong academic background, she offers trusted and ethical care. She also uses her years of experience to guide each client with confidence and clarity.
Megan provides detailed psychological and educational assessments. These assessments help identify cognitive strengths and weaknesses. They also highlight barriers to learning. As a result, she can create clear support strategies for each child or adolescent. In turn, this helps improve learning outcomes and confidence.
Megan offers individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She uses play therapy for younger children, which allows them to express emotions in a safe way. At the same time, she provides psychotherapy for older clients. In addition, she offers trauma counselling to help individuals process difficult experiences and move forward with strength.
Megan works closely with parents and caregivers. She helps them build simple and effective strategies for discipline, schooling, and motivation. Moreover, she supports families in creating healthy emotional environments. This approach improves communication and strengthens family relationships over time.
Megan provides career assessments for young people. These assessments help them understand their strengths, interests, and values. As a result, they can make informed career decisions. She also offers subject choice assessments, which guide learners in choosing the right academic path.
Before starting her private practice, Megan taught in both primary and secondary schools. Therefore, she understands the education system well. She believes in working together with families, schools, and communities. This team approach supports the whole child. Ultimately, Megan aims to empower every individual through personalised care and practical guidance.
