Dr Seugnet joins the team after gaining valuable experience at Hugo Orthodontics in Johannesburg. As a result, she brings new skills and knowledge to Eversdal Orthodontics.

Moreover, Dr Seugnet will continue the proud legacy of more than 30 years of orthodontic care in the community. She will begin seeing patients on 6 January 2025. Therefore, the team looks forward to the positive impact she will make.

Orthodontic Services

Eversdal Orthodontics offers a wide range of orthodontic services to meet different treatment needs.

Fixed Braces: Fixed braces stay attached to the teeth and help align them. Patients can choose between metal and ceramic braces. Children often choose metal braces, while adults may prefer the more discreet ceramic option.

Clear Aligner Treatment: Clear aligners offer a quick and subtle treatment option, especially for adults. Patients can choose between Invisalign Clear Aligners and Spark Clear Aligners.

Retainers: After orthodontic treatment, retainers help keep the teeth in their new position. Fixed retainers use a wire bonded to the back of the teeth for long-term retention. Removable retainers use a wire and acrylic design that patients can remove for cleaning.

Removable Braces: These braces suit minor tooth alignment needs. They include a plastic plate and wires that patients can remove for eating and cleaning.

Removable Orthodontic Appliances

Functional appliances stimulate jaw growth and should be worn full-time for the best results. Removable plates can help with minor tooth movement or arch expansion. Patients can remove these plates for cleaning.

Education and Training

Dr Seugnet began her education with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Western Cape in 2020. Her interest in orthodontics then led her to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Interceptive Orthodontics. She is also excited to start her MSc in Orthodontics in 2025.

Experience and Approach

Dr Seugnet spent the last two years improving her skills at a leading orthodontic practice in Johannesburg under the mentorship of Dr André Hugo. She specialises in traditional braces and modern aligner systems. Furthermore, she creates customised treatment plans for each patient.

She also remains committed to lifelong learning. Therefore, she regularly attends courses and conferences to stay up to date with orthodontic care.

Outside of work, Dr Seugnet enjoys music, cooking, and hiking. She also values a healthy work-life balance.
