I am a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience. I am registered with the Health Professional Council (HPC), the Physiotherapy Pain Association (PPA), and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE). My journey began with a psychology degree from Sussex University. I then worked in rehabilitation before earning my physiotherapy degree from the University of Hertfordshire.
I hold postgraduate training in cognitive behavioural therapy and a diploma in non-medical prescribing from Cardiff University. This training allows me to offer a well-rounded approach to pain management, addressing both physical and psychological needs.
Over the years, I have worked in both the NHS and private sectors, gaining broad experience in orthopaedics, rheumatology, sports injuries, and elderly rehabilitation. My expertise extends to occupational health physiotherapy, where I assist corporate clients with workplace and vehicle assessments and provide manual handling training.
In 2016, I became the first physiotherapist in South Wales to work in primary care as a first contact practitioner. With my additional qualifications in prescribing, I offer a more integrated approach to managing chronic pain.
I provide expert physiotherapy for sports injuries, helping athletes recover safely and return to their activities. My approach involves a combination of manual therapy, exercise, and education to restore function and prevent future injuries.
I specialise in occupational health services for the corporate sector. I offer workplace assessments, ergonomic advice, and manual handling training to reduce injuries and improve overall employee health. These services help prevent musculoskeletal problems and increase workplace productivity.
I am dedicated to managing chronic pain through a combination of physical therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. My approach helps patients understand and manage pain, improving their quality of life. I work with each individual to create a personalised treatment plan for long-term relief.
As a first contact practitioner, I assess, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal conditions directly. This service allows patients to see a physiotherapist without a referral, speeding up access to care. I can also prescribe medication when necessary, offering an integrated approach to pain management.
I take a holistic approach to physiotherapy, focusing on prevention, recovery, and long-term well-being. My background in both physical therapy and psychological care helps me address the full range of needs that each patient may have.
For businesses, I offer tailored programmes to improve employee health and prevent workplace injuries. My services in chronic pain management help individuals regain mobility and enhance their quality of life.
If you are looking for physiotherapy services in Cardiff, I am here to support your recovery and well-being. Contact me today to discuss how I can help you.
