She holds a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of the Western Cape (UWC), a Postgraduate Diploma in Interdisciplinary Pain Management from the University of Cape Town (UCT), and an MSc in Physiotherapy from UCT.

She is currently completing a PhD in Physiology at UCT. Her research focuses on head injuries in equestrian sports.
