Heal Grow Flow Counsellor Claremont introduces Sara Moosa, a holistic therapist who supports deep healing and personal growth.
Sara Moosa works as a Holistic Integrated Therapist. She earned her Psychology degree from the University of Toronto in 2004. Soon after, she visited Cape Town on holiday. During that time, she felt a strong connection to the people. She also fell in love with the sunset at Ou de Kraal. As a result, she chose to make the Mother City her home. Interestingly, it is also her mother’s city.
After settling in Cape Town, she spent 10 years in the creative field. She worked as a Designer, Stylist, and Art Director. She gained experience in magazine teams and advertising agencies. This creative path shaped her unique approach. It also helped her connect deeply with people.
In 2016, Sara returned to psychology. She completed an Advanced Certification in Counselling and Communication at the South African College of Applied Psychology. In addition, she completed over two years of supervised practice. She worked at a Counselling and Recovery Centre in the Cape Flats. During this time, she built strong counselling skills. She also learned how to support people through real challenges.
Since then, Sara has explored the human mind further. She also practised meditation and breathwork. These tools shaped her passion for personal growth and holistic healing. As a result, her work now blends different methods. She has supported trauma survivors at an NGO in Kuilsriver. At the same time, she has led meditation sessions at a yoga studio. This studio sits in the historic Ironworks building in Woodstock, known as a creative hub in Cape Town.
Sara now works in private practice as a counsellor. She also continues to study breathwork and meditation. She holds an Advanced Pneumanity Breathwork Practitioner Certification from Breathwork Africa. This certification also links to the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance and the International Breathwork Foundation. In addition, she completed Meditation Teacher Training with Anchor Meditation in San Francisco.
Alongside her counselling work, Sara has created helpful tools. She designed and produced Daily Planners and Prompt Journals. These tools guide users through reflection. They also include guided meditation pages. As a result, they help people build a deeper connection with themselves. They also spark curiosity and self-awareness.
Today, Sara blends counselling, breathwork, and meditation in her work. She focuses on simple and effective support. She helps clients heal, grow, and move forward with clarity. Therefore, her approach feels both grounded and supportive.
