Dr. Herman Bekker is originally from the Eastern Cape. In 2022, he returned to take over Dentists at Health Summerstrand after the passing of the much-loved Dr. Frik Claasen. He qualified at the University of Pretoria in 2016. Then, in 2017, he completed a postgraduate certificate in Oral Implantology.

After that, Dr. Bekker completed two more postgraduate diplomas. He completed a diploma in Prosthodontics at the University of Pretoria in 2020. In 2022, he also completed a diploma in Laser Dentistry at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He was set to complete his third postgraduate diploma in Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of the Western Cape in 2023.

Dr. Bekker has a passion for dentistry. Therefore, he takes a complete and modern approach to dental care. His goal is to provide long-lasting results and help patients achieve healthy, happy smiles.

Outside of dentistry, he enjoys travelling with his wife. He also enjoys aviation, photography, outdoor activities, and fly fishing.
