Hope House Counselling Centre Table View provides caring and confidential counselling services to the community of Cape Town, Western Cape. Every person receives support in a safe and understanding environment. The centre’s mission is to bring hope, healing, and growth to those facing life’s challenges.
Founded in 2004, Hope House Counselling Centre Table View is a Christian non-profit organisation. The centre welcomes people from all backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. Its goal is to make counselling accessible and affordable to everyone. Clients give a voluntary donation instead of a fixed fee, helping the centre continue its vital work.
We offer one-on-one lay counselling for individuals seeking emotional support. Counsellors listen with empathy and respect. Sessions cover areas such as anxiety, grief, trauma, relationships, and stress. Each session focuses on helping clients find clarity and regain emotional strength.
The centre hosts frequent training and workshops for counsellors and the general public. These sessions promote personal development, emotional growth, and better communication. Some workshops run online, while others take place at the Table View branch or other Cape Town areas.
We also reach out to schools through youth programmes. These sessions guide learners through crucial life stages. Topics include substance awareness, emotional resilience, and personal growth. The centre’s team partners with teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
The centre offers SACE-accredited “Trauma Informed School” training. This course helps teachers understand and assist traumatised learners more effectively. It equips schools with practical tools to provide emotional stability for children. Learners can also join interactive workshops that build awareness and resilience.
We provide tailored company wellness services. These include stress management, grief counselling, GBV awareness, self-care, and team-building sessions. The goal is to create healthier, more connected workplaces that value mental well-being.
Hope House Counselling Centre Table View depends on volunteers to extend its community reach. Volunteers help provide counselling and administrative support. The centre also offers a year-long unpaid internship for students preparing for their Master’s in Counselling or Psychology. This hands-on experience develops practical skills for future mental health professionals.
The centre is dedicated to restoring hope and promoting emotional wellness across Cape Town. Every service reflects compassion, community, and care. With trained counsellors and accessible programmes, Hope House Counselling Centre Table View continues to bring positive change to countless lives.
