About Us

Impilo yeAfrica is a leading provider of mental health care and research services, dedicated to improving the mental well-being of individuals, families, employees, and communities across South Africa and the African continent. The burden of mental health conditions, particularly depression, continues to rise globally, with over 264 million people affected. Mental health problems are often neglected in Africa, despite the availability of effective psychological and pharmacological interventions. Our mission is to reduce the impact of mental illness and improve the quality of life for those affected.

Our team of experienced psychologists is committed to delivering exceptional care through individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and community-based mental health programmes. We also conduct important research on mental health issues, contributing to a deeper understanding of mental illness and its societal impact.

We aim to facilitate transformation by providing compassionate and evidence-based care, while also raising awareness of mental health issues and promoting access to mental health services across the continent.
