Dr. Schrönen is a psychiatrist who helps patients get back their mental wellbeing through a more holistic approach. He has more than 20 years of experience and is actively involved in the development of new medications. He has participated in over 50 clinical trials and has published in international journals.

Dr. Schrönen aims to help patients be the best version of themselves through medication and psychotherapy. He firmly believes in the biopsychosocial model of recovery.

During a consultation, Dr. Schrönen may ask patients to complete rating scales to help quantify symptoms. This information is then used to decide on a treatment plan that will best suit the patient’s individual needs.

If the need for clinic admission arises, Dr. Schrönen will arrange for the patient to be admitted. He will also arrange referrals to a psychologist, social worker, etc. upon admission. If needed, he can arrange ketamine treatment for patients who have a history of treatment-resistant depression.

Dr. Schrönen welcomes private and medical aid patients. He charges medical aid rates for his services and will assist patients with PMB applications. Most patients with depression qualify for PMB-funded sessions with Dr. Schrönen.
