Lehandra Smit Therapist George is a passionate professional dedicated to human movement sciences. Born and raised in Kathu, Northern Cape, I began my academic journey in 2020 at North-West University in Potchefstroom. There, I pursued my passion for understanding the human body and its movements.
From a young age, I was actively involved in sports. I participated in hockey, netball, cricket, and tennis throughout my school years. Dance, however, became my primary focus over the past 13 years. During this time, I earned international recognition and completed several dance examinations. As I work toward my degree in dance education, I deepen my understanding of human anatomy and movement. This knowledge empowers me to optimize performance and enhance overall health.
In addition to my studies, I have worked in various practical settings. I assisted with hockey coaching at Potchefstroom Gymnasium and contributed to strength and conditioning programs at a local gym. These experiences allowed me to apply my theoretical knowledge in real-world situations. In 2023, I earned my Honours degree in Human Movement Sciences with a focus on Sport Coaching. I also became a registered Kinderkineticist with SAPIK and completed Level 2 training in anthropometry through ISAK. These qualifications help me understand how to optimize movement for both health and performance.
I believe that mindset plays a vital role in achieving success. Therefore, I motivate others to stay active and reach their fitness goals. My approach is positive and supportive. I focus on making exercise enjoyable, engaging, and accessible. Every individual has unique needs, and I tailor fitness plans to match those needs. By celebrating each step of progress, I help foster a love for sport and fitness.
Lehandra Smit Therapist George works in association with StretchingSA George. As a stretch therapist, I received comprehensive training at StretchingSA. My role allows me to help individuals improve their flexibility, mobility, and overall movement.
