Leila Bolland Private Social Worker Muizenberg provides professional social work services based on empathy, compassion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
I am a registered social worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP – Reg No. 10-38093) and have practised since 2015. My experience covers several areas of social work. These include child protection, homelessness, trauma counselling, substance use, and mental health support.
I began my career as an early intervention social worker in child protection. During this time, I gained strong knowledge of the Children’s Act, children’s court proceedings, and legal processes linked to temporary safe care and foster care.
After the birth of my first son, I moved into part-time work with a newly registered non-profit organisation that supported homeless individuals. Over five years, the organisation grew, and so did my role. I progressed from social worker to operations manager and programme coordinator.
My work included individual case work, group facilitation, and trauma counselling. I also developed a deep understanding of substance use and mental health challenges.
As a mother of two boys, my interest in developmental psychology and attachment theory has grown. As a result, I have developed a strong understanding of non-punitive and responsive parenting styles. This knowledge guides my work with families and individuals.
I offer a range of professional social work services. I treat every client with confidentiality and professionalism. My approach focuses on empathy, compassion, and supporting individuals through their challenges.
I remain committed to ongoing professional development and ethical practice. I attend regular supervision for guidance and support. This helps me maintain a high standard of care.
I also take part in ongoing training to strengthen my practice knowledge and expand my skills.
I provide a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their concerns and work towards meaningful solutions. For more information or to book a consultation, please feel free to reach out.
