Lilian Zac Counselling & Psychotherapy Bradford provides expert counselling services designed to help you overcome emotional challenges. As an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere strictly to their ethical code, ensuring you receive high-quality, professional therapy. I help individuals regain control over their lives and move beyond what holds them back.
Counselling offers a unique opportunity for personal growth. I work closely with clients to explore their emotional difficulties, allowing them to make sense of what troubles them. Together, we work at your pace in a safe, confidential environment. Whether you seek short-term or long-term therapy, we create a process that suits your needs.
Through counselling, you can gain clarity about painful emotions. Furthermore, this process allows you to find relief and healing. It’s important that therapy is a collaborative effort. You share what works best for you, and we adjust our approach accordingly to meet your goals.
I offer support for a range of emotional and behavioural issues. Clients often come to me with concerns such as:
Complex family relationships
Low self-esteem
Coping with bullying
Anger management
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
Work-related stress
In addition, I have specialized training to assist individuals who have experienced trauma. I help clients understand how trauma has impacted their lives. Then, we explore strategies to manage and heal from these experiences.
I use an integrative approach, combining various techniques tailored to meet your needs. For some, exploring the past brings valuable insights. Others may find it helpful to focus on current challenges. Often, a mix of both approaches leads to the most effective results. This flexibility enables us to find coping strategies that promote emotional growth.
Together, we aim for a deep understanding of your emotions and behaviours, helping you build a healthier mindset.
I have worked in diverse settings, including mental health charities, GP surgeries, and schools. My previous career in the media provides me with a unique understanding of corporate pressures. As a former community mediator, I am also aware of how conflict can affect mental health.
My qualifications include a BACP Accreditation in Counselling & Psychotherapy, a Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling from York St. John University, and several specialised certificates. I also remain committed to continuous professional development, ensuring I stay current with the latest therapeutic techniques.
