About Lindsay Brown Speech Language Therapist George

I’m a paediatric speech therapist, and I love supporting children and their families as they grow, learn and thrive together. My practice is grounded in a child-led approach and built on the importance of strong, trusting relationships. I aim to create therapy sessions that are engaging, meaningful and tailored to each child, helping them feel connected, motivated and, most importantly, happy to learn. I’m enjoy growing my knowledge and skills, and I regularly explore new techniques and evidence-based approaches so that I can provide effective support to the children and families I work with. I’m also incredibly excited to introduce our new multidisciplinary therapy centre, Therapy Hub Garden Route. Bringing different professionals together under one roof allows us to provide collaborative, holistic support for children and their families.

Treatments From Lindsay Brown Speech Language Therapist

I offer a comprehensive range of paediatric speech and language services, tailored to meet each child’s individual needs. My areas of practice include early intervention, speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and oral-motor and myofunctional therapy. I also have a special interest in supporting children with dyslexia, language and literacy difficulties, and auditory processing challenges. As a trained SOS Feeding Therapist, I support children who experience feeding difficulties and picky eating, helping them develop a more positive and comfortable relationship with food. I also provide parent coaching, empowering families with practical strategies they can use in everyday life to support their child’s communication and development. In addition, I offer reading and phonics support, using evidence-based approaches to help children develop strong foundational literacy skills.

Extra Training For Lindsay Brown Speech Language Therapist George

I have completed training in Hanen’s It Takes Two to Talk, PROMPT Therapy, Oral Myofunctional Therapy, and the SOS Approach to Feeding for children experiencing picky eating and feeding challenges. I have also done the introduction course for DIR Floortime.

My Qualifications And Background

I have a B.A in Speech and Hearing Therapy from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits University.
