Luc Scheepers Clinical Psychologist Paarl earned his undergraduate, honours, and master’s degrees in psychology at Stellenbosch University. During his research, he explored how parents coped after losing a child. He focused on their resilience—how they found strength in the midst of grief and adapted to life without their child.
Through this study, he discovered that vulnerability and strength coexist. He also saw how deep relationships and emotional connections accelerate healing. This passion for resilience continues to shape his therapy approach. He now helps clients uncover their emotional resources and build the inner strength needed for personal growth.
Luc Scheepers pursued his master’s degree in clinical psychology at Nelson Mandela University (NMU) in Port Elizabeth. While completing his community service, he worked with clients from all walks of life. He gained hands-on experience in diverse settings, including:
Each of these experiences strengthened his ability to address a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns.

Unconscious thoughts and past experiences often shape self-esteem and relationships. Through therapy, clients explore these influences and gain insights that help them change thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors.
Together, the client and psychologist develop concrete strategies to manage distressing symptoms. This approach encourages clients to track their experiences, practice new techniques during sessions, and apply them in daily life.
Mindfulness shifts attention to the present moment. By focusing on the “now” instead of dwelling on past pain or future worries, clients gain control over emotional distress and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Luc Scheepers Clinical Psychologist Paarl remains committed to guiding his clients toward long-term emotional well-being. His goal is to equip each person with the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
