Marié graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2002. After completing her community service, she worked in private practice and served as one of the team physiotherapists for university and provincial rugby teams. Additionally, she has worked with high-level athletes from various sports disciplines. Over the years, Marié gained invaluable experience that has shaped her comprehensive approach to physiotherapy.
In 2009, Marié completed the Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy (OMT1) postgraduate certification. Her dedication to professional growth continued with her qualification as a Pilates instructor. Most recently, she trained in Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. These experiences have allowed her to deepen her knowledge and improve her practice. Furthermore, she believes that learning never stops. Even after 20 years of practice, she remains committed to expanding her skills and expertise.
Marié’s clinical interests focus on spinal conditions, TMJ and SIJ disorders, sports injuries, and fertility and reproductive health. She is also passionate about Craniosacral therapy and Visceral manipulation. Her approach is holistic, as she understands that pain and discomfort affect individuals differently. As a proud mom of two, one of whom has cerebral palsy, Marié brings empathy and compassion to her work. In her free time, Marié enjoys art, reading, scuba diving, and swimming. The bushveld and ocean recharge her spirit, allowing her to bring even more energy and dedication to her practice.
