Dr Marina van der Ryst, an Educational Psychologist, specialises in Neuropsychology and Neurofeedback training with 25 years of private practice experience. She believes individuals possess the key to their success and continues to learn new support tools. Her fascination with the brain’s capacity deepens her appreciation for clients’ journeys.

Dr Marina van der Ryst’s professional career development is extensive:
- In 1992, she registered at the HPCSA as an Educational Psychologist and Psychometrist. She obtained a Master’s and PhD in Psychology from the University of Pretoria. She completed Post-Master diploma studies at the University of Johannesburg in Adult Pathology, Neuropsychology, Neurophysiology, and Personality Models. She is a member of the Psychological Society of SA.
- In 2010, she obtained an advanced Level III Hypnosis Certificate in Eriksonian, Medico-Analysis, and Ego-states. She uses this tool effectively in various problems.
- Her passion for neuroscience led her to specialise in neuropsychology. She has testified in many court cases over the past 10-12 years in cognitive functioning and Traumatic Brain Injury. She continued her training with SAMLA (South African Medico-Legal Association) to enhance her medico-legal skills, specialising in Traumatic Brain Injury and medical negligence.
- In 2015, she became a BCIA (Biofeedback Certification International Alliance) accredited practitioner.
- In 2019, she registered in the EEG Technician category at the HPCSA and continued training with the IQEEG Board. These tools (NFT and QEEG) enhance her clients’ transformation and growth processes.
