Welcome to the Mindfulness Therapy Hub. My name is Josh Lee, and I am a UKCP-registered psychotherapist in training. I specialise in Mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy, an integrative, trauma-informed modality that brings together the power of mindful awareness with psychological insight. My practice supports those experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional struggle, self-criticism, relationship difficulties, and periods of major life transition.
At the heart of my work lies the belief that every individual has the capacity to heal and return to a more authentic, centred version of themselves. Through a blend of presence, compassion, and awareness of the mind-body connection, I aim to create a therapeutic space that supports healing and personal growth. Sessions with me are collaborative and non-judgemental. Together, we explore what matters to you, at your own pace.
Whether you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or seeking deeper self-understanding, I offer mindful, grounded support to help you reconnect with your sense of wholeness.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Core Process Psychotherapy, one of the earliest mindfulness-based psychotherapies developed in the UK. It integrates:
Western psychotherapy
Developmental psychology
A trauma-informed understanding of the nervous system and body
Eastern mindfulness traditions and Buddhist psychological insight
This integrative model invites you to explore your inner world with curiosity and compassion. We give attention not only to what is said but also to bodily sensations, emotions, and the unconscious patterns that shape behaviour and relationships.
Therapy can help you with:
Anxiety and chronic stress
Depression and low mood
Emotional reactivity or numbness
Shame, self-criticism, and low self-worth
Relationship conflict and attachment issues
Trauma, both recent and historic
Existential concerns and life direction
My role is not to analyse or diagnose, but to support your own unfolding process. We work together to make sense of your experience and uncover what may be calling for attention beneath the surface.
I have spent the last seven years working in mental health and personal development, including with organisations such as Mind and JourneymanUK. My current training is a postgraduate diploma in Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute, and I also hold a Diploma in Relational Mindfulness alongside training in person-centred counselling.
Therapy sessions are available:
In Frome: Monday afternoons
In Bath: Fridays
Each client relationship begins with a free 50-minute initial consultation, giving us the chance to meet and decide if we are a good therapeutic fit. All sessions are confidential, respectful, and guided by your personal needs and intentions.
