• Hormonal Therapy: Medications used to target cancers that rely on hormones for growth, reducing the cancer cells’ ability to grow.
• Palliative Care: Focused on preventing and relieving suffering by identifying, assessing, and treating pain and other symptoms in patients with advanced cancer.
• Radiotherapy: High doses of X-rays used to kill cancer cells in specific areas. External Beam Radiation Therapy uses radiation from a machine outside the body (Linear Accelerator).
• Brachytherapy: Involves the implantation of radioactive products directly into the cancer site to target and kill cancer cells.
• Stereotactic Radiosurgery: A high-dose, precise radiotherapy delivered over a shorter time span for specific cancers.
• Radioactive Iodine: A specialised treatment for thyroid cancer that uses radioactive iodine to target and treat the cancerous tissue.
