Welcome to Natasha Williams Therapy, a compassionate psychotherapy practice in Birmingham, specialising in fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, and birth trauma. I’m Natasha, a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) and EMDR practitioner, offering therapy from both professional expertise and deep personal experience.
In my twenties and early thirties, I led what looked like a successful life. I was ambitious, career-driven, financially secure, and outwardly confident. I travelled, enjoyed my freedom, and seemed to have everything under control. However, beneath that surface, I was quietly struggling with something far more personal—my desire to become a mother.
At 18, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and knew I might face challenges conceiving. Despite building a fulfilling life, the absence of a child created a void that success couldn’t fill. By my early thirties, after repeated failed attempts to conceive naturally, I felt everything I had worked for no longer mattered.
When I began fertility treatment, I was not prepared for the emotional toll. It brought anxiety, fear, trauma, and at times, despair. I experienced deep depression and questioned the point of it all. Fortunately, as a practising therapist, I reached out for help. I leaned on the same therapies I now offer my clients, and slowly, I found the strength to continue.
Eventually, I became a mother to two beautiful daughters who bring light to my life. However, the path was long and painful. This journey shaped my mission: to support others facing similar emotional struggles—whether related to fertility, loss, or trauma.
I provide specialised therapy for individuals facing:
Fertility issues and the psychological weight of trying to conceive
Miscarriage, stillbirth, and pregnancy loss
Birth trauma and traumatic hospital experiences
Postnatal mental health challenges and identity shifts
General anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm
My approach combines:
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) – helping you manage anxious or intrusive thoughts
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) – a powerful, evidence-based trauma therapy
Together, we’ll work at your pace to build emotional strength, insight, and self-compassion.
Therapy is not just for when life breaks down—it’s a way to rebuild. I provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can reflect, heal, and rediscover your sense of self. Whether you’re navigating fertility treatment or recovering from a difficult birth, you don’t have to face it alone.
