Mr Nigel Kirkpatrick is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Medical Director at Newmedica Gloucester – Aspen, with over 25 years of specialist experience. He earned his MBBS (1986) and BSc in Pharmacology (1983) from Bristol University. Subsequently, he completed junior posts at St Thomas’ Hospital and Bristol Eye Hospital before serving five years as a registrar in Aberdeen under Professor John Forrester. In 1995, he undertook a fellowship in retinal surgery at Royal Perth Hospital, training with Dr Ian McAllister.
