Approach to Care

NIMA believes that a collaborative team approach is essential to achieving the best outcomes. Dr Ockie van Schalkwyk works in association with other gynaecologists at Mediclinic Midstream. While Dr van Schalkwyk strives to personally attend to patients during deliveries or emergencies, his physical presence cannot always be guaranteed. However, a skilled team member will always be available to assist with patient needs.

For anaesthetic services, including epidurals for vaginal deliveries and spinal anaesthesia for caesarean sections, Dr van Schalkwyk works with Cilliers Street Anaesthetists.
